Would 30, 90 or 200 new leads next month change your building company?
We all know you can’t build a building company on wishful thinking. At some point, you’re going to have to make a choice.
Three choices;
1. Spend thousands of dollars on courses, seminars and training events to learn how to build online campaigns… THEN spend even more on ads till you discover something that works!
We often hear people suggest blogging, sharing content on social media, creating downloads like ‘8 things to ask your builder before you sign…’ and other tactics that has very little impact and very low numbers of leads (if any).
Taking this advice is painful because you’ll burn-out well before you achieve any meaningful results and feel disillusioned with the whole ‘online marketing’ thing.
Sure, you’ll get an education. An education on what NOT to do as well as having wasted months (even years) with little to no results.
2. Work with a digital agency that isn’t specialised with new home builders
A big agency is attractive. They have lots of high profile (non-building) clients and all the fancy schmancy sales brochures to go with it.
They’ll even stroke your ego because you’re working with “the biggest and the best.”
Then, once signed, your account will pass to their junior employees to administer who don’t have a clue that renovations and additions is a totally different industry to new home building.
They don’t get that the terms ‘Builders’ and ‘Home Builders’ are used by trades and suppliers and not future customers and will spend thousands ranking/advertising for keywords that don’t bring in a cent of revenue for your company.
They’ll barely scratch the surface with your Facebook Ads (or God forbid, they’ll post to your social media in the hope that one of the 20 people that see it will convert into a lead).
You’ll spend more time correcting the language they use in their ads than you will on contacting leads – just so your money isn’t thrown away on pointless clicks.
If you’re lucky – they’ll throw enough of your ad spend at the wall and some will stick, giving you a false sense that the ad campaigns are effective, without realising just how much of your hard earned cash is being wasted.
** We didn’t make the above list up off the top of our heads. These are comments our clients have made to us when making the switch to Building Boom. Headaches they no longer have – because we speak the language of builders as we came from the new home building industry ourselves and know what works and what doesn’t.
3. Fast-track success by engaging an agency that has already done all that work for you.
The quickest way to get leads for your building company is with paid ads on search and social networks using very specific targeting and ad copy.
Paid ads gets you right in front of people who are going to build in the next 3 months and knowing what triggers them to become a lead, they’ll hand over their contact details so you can book that vital first face-to-face meeting.
We don’t want to mess around with stuff that isn’t important.
In fact, many clients come to us believing they need to build a new website to achieve success – when 95% of the time, that’s untrue.

Typical Results
To generate leads we have developed specific strategies using Social Media and Search Engine Advertising.
Each platform requires different approaches to be successful.
For example, social sharing on Facebook is NOT something we recommend except for builders who build over a large number of homes each year.
Facebook Advertising however, can be extremely profitable, so long as you know what ads work and what doesn’t.
The campaigns we create for our home builders are multi-layered – each with unique calls-to-action that resonate with your target market.
Perth Builder Example;
Sydney Builder Example;
*DISCLAIMER: These are real examples of live campaigns, however we cannot guarantee these results. Please be aware that every client is different and as such, results may vary.
The above builders campaigns has generated hundreds of leads ready for their sales team to contact them.
Leads that provide;
Name | Mobile Number | Email address | Suburb where they are building | Extra comments
Ad you can see, the lead costs are ridiculously low when compared to any other medium Builders can use today.
Signed Contracts
On average, our builders convert between 5-12% of leads into a signed building contract.
Taking an example using the Perth builders data shown above; That means for every $1440 (or less) spent on advertising this builder signs a new building contract. Their average contract value is $425,000 – which is an outstanding return on investment (ROI).
Are we a good match for your building company?
New Home Builders
If you’re a new home builder and;
- You have a website
- You have a portfolio of past work you’ve completed
- You can spend $3,000 or more p/month on advertising
- You want to grow your building company
Then we can help you achieve your growth goals.
Tradesmen
If you’re a tradesman then unfortunately we cannot help you.
For all our tradesmen enquiries we recommend that you use sites like Hi-Pages, Service Seeking and OneFlare.
These services aggregate leads for tradies and are very low cost compared to running campaigns yourselves. The only exception is if you have a large team of multiple tradesmen and require over $5M worth of business a year – then we can help.
